Catching Up on the Transition Process
March 8, 2016
I know that as I began this blog, we have already crossed over several milestones to get where we are today. I can expound on the “why’s” of the decisions in the future, but I wanted to get you caught up to where we are now with just the quick facts.
It has been over two years now since we first began tossing around the idea of having a travel trailer, we have learned a lot and much has happened…
Summer 2015: Pinpointed which RV model we would like (Blue Ridge 3780 LF)
October 2015: Put Maple Grove duplex up for sale
November 2015: Started hard core purging, selling, and organizing of personal items
December 2015: Pinpointed which vehicle to purchase to pull 5th wheel safely (Chevy 1 ton with dually)
December 31, 2015: Closed on duplex and purchased both the RV and Truck, putting them both on order
January 2016: Continued purging, selling, and organizing of personal items
Late February 2016: Truck came in, outfitted it for towing just in the nick of time, and put the house up for sale
February 29, 2016: Pick up the trailer
March 2016: Begin alterations and purchases to suit a family of four…(shelving, electrical, desk, sleeping arrangements, cooking supplies, etc)
We are working on the RV projects while we are waiting for our home to sell before we set out on the road. We have had a couple showing with some positive feedback, but no offers yet.
Until we meet again,
